About Legacy Ranch

It's been three years since Legacy Ranch moved from its Southern California location in Chino. Our beautiful Northern California facility is located in Clements, approximately 50 minutes southeast of the Sacramento Airport and at the base of the Sierra Foothills. With 145 acres of lush green pastures, spacious barns and our expansive 5/8-mile training track, we and our clients couldn't be happier.

Legacy's two standing stallions, Our New Recruit and Cindago, have produced some of the most beautiful foals one can imagine. Our New Recruit's first crop will be two-year-olds in '09. Cindago's first crop will be yearlings in '09. We are looking forward to some great racehorses from both of these sires. These impressive stallions are owned by Lee and Sue Searing of CRK Stables.

Our New Recruit is a nine-year-old son of Alphabet Soup, out of multiple stakes-placed Delta Danielle. He is also the 2004 winner of the $2,000,000 Dubai Golden Shaheen. Cindago, a five-year-old stakes-winning son of Indian Charlie, was a gate-to-wire winner of the El Cajon Stakes, defeating both Bob And John and Brother Derek.

Owners Pete and Evelyn Parrella, are fortunate to have some of California's most notable owners and trainers as clients. Some of the services offered at Legacy Ranch are breaking, training, breeding and foaling.

Pete also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association (CTBA) in the position of Treasurer. As if that doesn't keep him busy enough, he also oversees Parr Lumber Company his international wholesale lumber and plywood distribution center located in Chino, California.

The Hadley family has been with Legacy Ranch for 23 years. Shaun Hadley is the Ranch Manager and on-site trainer. He makes sure that every horse leaving the ranch is in the best racing condition possible and ready to run on any track in the country. His wife, Anita, directs the successful breeding program, as well as the care of mares and foals. Their daughter, Roxann, is the track outrider, helping coordinate the morning workouts and adding her personal touches to the sales preparation program.
